About Me

My photo
Our adventure started on a beautiful June day in 2004. Fast forward 12 years and now we are the proud parents of 3 active, beautiful boys. Nathan, Bracken, and Marco. We call Prescott Valley, Arizona home and are constantly reminded that there is never enough time to accomplish and experience everything we think we want. Life with a young family is precious and simplicity is our ongoing quest.

Harmonica Concert

Nathan has discovered that he has a knack for playing the harmonica. He plays it for 15-20 minutes at a time. He just walks around making up the cutes little songs, and the kicker is they sound like they could be actual songs. I is so cute to watch.

Poppcorn Popping

Nathan has always enjoyed it when I sang songs to him but now he is starting to sing along with me. He hums along when I sing Twinkle, Twinkle to him before naps and bedtime. He is really good at doing the actions to fun songs like Popcorn Popping and The Itsy Bitsy Spider. And he sings "E-I-E-I-O" at the right times during Old McDonlad and he loves making the animal noises.

17 months old

Every day Nathan does new, cute, little things. This month he has started putting his chubby little pointer finger up to his lips and he “shushes” you to let you know to be quiet. He mostly does this around babies and sometimes just randomly out of the blue. Nathan also shakes his finger and says “No, no, no, no...” when he does not like what is happening. Nathan tries to snap his fingers and he loves to do push-ups with his Dad and Uncle Kendal. Nathan lies on his tummy and lifts up his torso with his arms, it is hilarious to watch. One of Marci’s friends was over one evening and he showed Nathan how to make a monkey face, but Nathan would not try it. The next day the same friend came over and the minute Nathan saw him he made a monkey face! It was so cute! He doesn’t pull his ears out, instead he folds them over between his fingers, but he does the puffy cheeks really good. One morning I was lying in bed trying to convince myself it was time to get up, but I was too comfy so I lingered. I soon heard Nathan’s first morning fuss and it was almost time for him to get up. I figured I would leave him in his bed a few more minutes till I heard him making happy noises. Nathan fussed a bit more and then all of a sudden he said “Mama? Mama?” He was calling for me; he had never done that before. It made my heart soar to hear him ask for me so sweetly. Nathan’s new words are “mas”, “balloon”, and “nana” for banana. It is really neat to watch him learn how to communicate better.

One evening we went on a family bike ride which Nathan loves to do. He know what it means when we get his helmet out of the closet and his face just lights up.

Nathan relaxing while he watches some shows before bed.

What a cool little dude!

Our happy little guy waking up from a nap.

Nathan is playing outside and saying "Bye" to Dad as he goes off to work in the morning.
