Bracky finally did it! He's crawling! He doesn't go fast yet and he lifts his bum up with his legs a lot. In a few more days we will have a crawling pro on our hands.

Hola Papi!
Curtis has been out of town for the last 1 1/2 weeks. He's in Cuernavaca, Mexico scoping out an intense Spanish immersion program at a university, with hopes to establish ties for Yavapai students to study abroad. So here are a few pictures of moments from our life here in Prescott. We love you Papi!

Bracken made a big mess with his "snowflake" puff snacks, and the tummy picture is how he ends up when he tries to crawl.
Bracken keeping busy playing with kitchen odds and ends while Mommy tries to get dinner finished. Sometimes the most random kitchen gadget is my saving grace that gives me that last 10 minutes to hurry and get it done.
For our last play group, we took our kids to the local mini golf. Nathan LOOOOVES the mini golf. Bracky was a trooper hanging out in his stroller for almost 2 hours. Both boys were hot, sweaty and tired. The perfect recipe for great afternoon naps.
We have had some lovely warm weather lately, so we busted out the wading pool. Fun for all.

Bracky hanging out at Mom's dresser, I pull out al the drawer a little bit so he can hold onto something.

8 Months
Another month has gone by and Bracken is still getting cuter all the time.
He is very close to crawling, I can tell he really wants to move but hasn't figured out how to get from point A to point B once he is in crawling position.
He is starting to get into things, he is super curious and wants to explore everything. If it's close enough for him to grab he will get it. It never ceases to amaze me just how long his arms actually are.

Grillin'
We are the proud owners of our very own grill! We bought it this past weekend at a garage sale for $35, a price not even Curtis could argue with, his limit for most purchases is $10. We are looking forward to a summer filled with grilled goodness!

Grass, almost
3 weeks ago for FHE we planted some grass seed in our backyard patio planter. Nathan was right in on all of the action trying to be a big helper. Bracky only watched the progress but he was sure happy with lots of smiles.
The first 2 weeks after we planted the grass seed we had 2 cold spells with some snow and below freezing tempertures. We covered our small plot of grass with towels but we weren't sure if it was going to make it. The directions on the seed bag said to look for grass shoots one week after planting. At our one week mark we still only had dirt. But 2 weeks later these little beauties emerged and we were so thrilled that our grass was going to work out afterall.
Grass grows fast, we went from this to this in just one more week.
Now we are wondering how we are going to cut it. Curtis is pulling for a John Deer riding mower, I told him if he is good he might get one for Father's Day.

Blooming!
All of our roses are blooming abundantly and they are so beautiful!
We have 3 bushes and I love their colors.
