Today during lunch Nathan was talking a lot like usual, and he was going on and on about how cotton candy is so amazing because it actually doesn't go into your tummy but disapears in your spit. I was tyring to be an attentive audience while I ate my lunch, but I was really only listening to about a third of what he said. Then out of the blue he looked at me with an extremely serious expression and asked "Mom, are we upside down on the bottom of the Earth right now?" Talk about catching me off guard! My response: "I don't know, we might be at the bottom of the Earth right now or we might be at the very top or even on the side sticking out sideways." That made him giggle!

Sunday Nap
What better place to relax than on top of Dad, while he is passed out on the couch?
The best part is Curtis didn't even remember sleeping with a pillow on top of his face. He had no clue that Bracken had settled in on top of him.

Monster Jam!!!!!!!
Curtis and Nathan had the time of their lives enjoying a guys night out with all the Kleinman dudes.
They lived it up with 3 full hours of monster truck MADNESS!
The little guys in our family are CRAZY about monster trucks. With 7 little boy cousins we have monster truck shirts, games, movies and toys coming out our ears so attending Monster Jam was a dream come true
Among our brood Grave Digger is by far the most popular monster truck.
Nathan's commentary: "Grave Digger was saved from a crash by hitting the wall and landing on his wheels!"
"Grave Digger is the highest jumper ever! He does rare airs!"
Nathan wore these ear muffs for the first little bit of the show because he tends to be sensitive to loud noises, as in they kind of scare him. But he eventually took them off and he decided he didn't mind the noise afterall. He attributes it to being almost 5 years old.
Chase Field was packed! The show was sold out! Curtis was glad he didn't take Bracken, because he is pretty sure he would have lost him at some point in the mayhem.
All the little dudes got these Grave Digger hats stuffed with cotton candy. Nathan snapped this photo of Curtis trying one on and he is very proud of his photography skills.
Curtis and Nathan got home a little before 1am, and Nathan was exhausted and disoriented from sleeping in the car. He was crying as Curtis carried him into the house. I quickly took over and tried to calm him down asking him why he was crying. Nathan looked at me and said "I'm sad because I want to see more monster trucks! I don't want it to be over!" I think he liked his first Kleinman Guys Night Out.

Warm Winter
Since I busted my ankle, life at our house has been very simple and all the extra activities were put on hold. Our winter has been quite warm so I figured it was high time we ventured out to a park again. We packed our lunch and scooters and the boys had a grand time running, playing, sliding and climbing. I thoroughly enjoyed getting some sun again while I relaxed on a park bench and read a book. It was well worth the effort.

Return of the Bubble Bath
Bracken loved his first post-cast bath. He bathed for 30 minutes, till the water was cold and all the bubbles were gone.

Wunchiche
Bracken LOVES sandwiches, which he calls "wunchiche" (you have to pronounce it in Spanish) it is his way of saying our familiy spanglish word sandwiche. He loves all kinds of sandwiches but peanut butter and honey is one of his favorites. He also really enjoys his cheese and crackers wunchiches.
I'm not sure how it got started but one day I noticed him making little sandwiches out of his crackers and cheese snack, and now he does it every time. He very patiently places 2 little cheese cirlces (I slice up a string cheese for him) on one cracker and tops it with another to create his sandwhich.
Then he tries to fit the whole thing in his mouth, but most of the time he decides that biting it in half is a better idea.
I love to watch his chubby little fingers build his cracker sandwiches. It won't be long before he loses the toddler chub so I am enjoying it while I can.
Yeah for yummy snacks!

Black Widow Dude
Nathan was grounded from TV & computer time for 3 days this week. He thinks he can get away with not flushing the toilet and when I called him on it he through a fit and quickly racked up 3 days on his sentence. At first he moped around the house because he couldn't think of anything fun to do, but eventually he settled down and realized that playing is much better than moping.
While Bracken watched a show, Nathan transformed into Black Widow and we had "bad spider man" lurking all over the house. He only tried to sneek a peek at the TV a few times. Mostly he was a dark blur of stealthy action leaping, jumping and hiding all over the house.
