Toddler Growing Pains

Bracken is such a character.  One afternoon he grabbed the bumbo out of the closet and plopped himself down in the middle of the living room floor to play some cards.  No one was insterested in playing with him but that didn't damper his mood he had a blast anyway.  When he was done, he did require some assistance to get out of the bumbo.

Bracken is at the stage where afternoon naps are a thing of the past for most days. He gest drowsy en the late afternoon but he it sure something wonderful will happen while he is sleeping and he refuses to miss out.  Sometimes I tell him he is required to take a nap if he wants to participate in a fun evening activity or outing so he gives in and naps.  But most days he pushes through his afternoon fatigue until his second wind kicks in.  I try to hold off their TV time till late afternoon because then I can trick Bracken into napping.  A majority of the time, he will fall asleep during a movie and sleep peacefully on the couch.
