Sweet Things

Live has so many beautiful moments. For instance holidays. Mothers Day was a great day. Curtis made a gourmet breakfast with 3 types of crepes, sausage and egg, yogurt and fresh fruit, and blintz (thick creamy, fruity filling)which is a type of crepe he learned how to make while he worked at Village Inn. Delicious. Church went well and Nate did great in Nursery again and he looked darn cute in his little church clothes too. For dinner Curtis made pasta, chicken, salad, garlic bread, and Pazookie (snookies) for dessert. Again delicious. Then I relaxed a bit, spent some time putting the finishing touches on our gifts to our mothers and then had a great visit with each of our families. Another beautiful thing about life, is watching Nathan and Curtis together. They are buds. The other morning when Nathan woke up he could hear that Curtis was in the kitchen (some mornings Curtis leaves before Nathan wakes up) and he said "Daddy home!!!" I love that he loves his Daddy, and Curtis can never get enough of Nathan. That last beautiful thing about life lately has been fruit pizza. This time of the year all the ingredients, especially strawberries, are on sale and I cannot resist. I have made 2 fruit pizzas in the past 2 weeks. Life is sweet.

Story Time

Nathan and I attend story time most weeks. It doesn't always work out, but Nathan is really starting to enjoy it. He even asks for "dory time" when we drive past the library, which we live really close to so we enjoy grabbing the stroller and walking over to story time. It is great to live within walking distance of the library. This week they had a special story time with the Fire Clowns, a few firemen and a fire truck. The best part for Nate was of course the truck and his new firemen hat.

Home Improvements

Lately I have been getting really anxious about all the things I want to get done to our house before the baby comes. Since the weather is finally staying warm now, it is time to focus on not just the inside of the house but the outside also. This coming Saturday we plan on getting the garden ready for planting, the actual planting might have to wait till Monday, for FHE but it will get done soon. This past weekend we did a lot of work getting rid of the things in our yard we do not want. Here is what we have been up to this week.

They were in the last of our boxes, so we are officially unpacked.

Now my front porch is a bit more inviting.

I did get one of our 2 window boxes planted as well, and here you can see our newly trimmed hedges. They were mostly yellow and now they are mostly green.

We hope that with regular watering they can once again be green all the time.

Becasue a yellow house does not need yellow bushes.

Now when I look out my living room window I can actually see our driveway and front walk.

We cut down 4 massive evergreen bushes that were crowding both sides of our driveway.

People driving or walking by can actually see our house now.

All of our hard work and effort will be complete when we haul away all the garbage to the dump.

Which will be taking place this Friday, thanks to the city free dump day.

"Shamu, up high"

This year for Easter weekend we were in San Diego! Curtis's youngest brother Eric and his lovely fiance Karly were married in the San Diego Temple on Saturday April 11th. So that meant a family trip to San Diego, and we didn't complain. Friday we spent the day at Sea World. Nathan is old enough that he really enjoyed pretty much everything, although he probably won't remember much of it for long, but we took lots of pictures. Saturday was of course the wedding day. Curtis and I were both able to attend the sealing ceremony (thanks to Aunt Emily and Aunt Bekah who graciously agreed to watch Nathan for us, we owe you one). The reception was held that afternoon at Karly's parent's house, they have a beautiful backyard and Nathan especially loved being able to roam free in the great out doors. He was not a huge fan of having to be in the stroller as much as we wanted him in the stroller at Sea World and we were really strict with him on the Temple grounds because we didn't want him to get in the way of other wedding parties and we wanted his nice clothes to stay clean for pictures. Sunday we found a nearby chapel and attended sacrament meeting, then spent the afternoon on a little beach before hitting the road for the drive home. The trip was short and sweet but jam packed with family and fun.

Nate loved it when the animals in the shows jumped "high in the sky". He still mentions from time to time that he wants to see "Shamu, up high".

A highlight for all the little ones was the Sesame Street 4D movie.

Nate left his glasses on for most of the show.

Nate had a little tantrum at the temple, so here I am trying to reign him in a bit. It is hard to enforce time out when you're not at home with your own handy dandy corner.

Nate is a magnet for balls. He pretty much finds one where ever he is. He played with this little ball the entire time we were at the reception. And he had a blast.

Nathan was not too sure about the ocean, mostly because it was cold, but he gave it a try and walked out till the water was a few inches up his little calf.

Kleinman Legacy

It looks like we are adding another male to the Kleinman family tree. That's right baby numero dos is a little boy! We are excited to have another boy next so that Nathan has a little buddy of his very own. Now on to picking out a name!

Silly Ne Ne

Ever since Nathan first started talking, he has reffered to himself as Ne Ne (nay nay). When I would tell him not to do something he would say "No, no, Ne Ne." The little nick name stuck.
