About Me

My photo
Our adventure started on a beautiful June day in 2004. Fast forward 12 years and now we are the proud parents of 3 active, beautiful boys. Nathan, Bracken, and Marco. We call Prescott Valley, Arizona home and are constantly reminded that there is never enough time to accomplish and experience everything we think we want. Life with a young family is precious and simplicity is our ongoing quest.

12th Anniversary - Lake Pleasant Family Adventure

June 11, 2016

Curtis and I became an eternal family 12 years ago.
Happy Family Birthday to us!

To celebrate we decided to spend the day soaking up the sun on the rocky beaches of Lake Pleasant with our 3 muchchos.  We packed up our gear, food and toys and enjoyed some much needed fun and relaxation.

On the hunt for critters.

Nathan spent quality time perfecting his rock skipping skills.

Bracken is our fishiest fish, so spending the day at the lake put him in his happy place.

Happy Marco!  But wait.  Two seconds later...

Grumpy Marco.

Swimming with Friends

Summer = Pool Time

The boys and I decided we wanted to spend our summer swimming so we bit the bullet and purchased a season pass to our community pool.

These boys are part fish!

They thoroughly enjoyed the water slide, the splash pad (when it wasn't too windy), playing family tag and improving their endurance and technique with hours of swimming.  Nathan also enjoyed his nice tan.  Being nine 1/2 years old, he's more aware of his appearance and has definite opinions about what he likes and whats "cool".

Marco's favorite pool activity was jumping into the pool over and over and over again.  He had his "spot" where he would jump in, climb out by himself (he would scold me if I tried to help) and then jump in again.  He would do this for about 45 minutes, swim around for a little bit, then he would ask to get out and eat a snack.  Almost everyday he would eat his snack then snuggle under at least 3 towels and take a nap.  He was happy and I was thrilled!

As the summer weeks went by Marco became more comfortable with the water and eventually he learned how to swim without his vest.  A huge accomplishment for a little boy who started out the summer with a fear of getting his head or face wet.  He is officially fish numero tres.

Till We Meet Again

In the afternoon of May 27, 2016, my beloved Grandma Bluth slipped peacefully away into eternity.
I loved my Grandma, and I will miss her, but I know she's overjoyed to be reunited with many family members including Grandpa.

December 2015

I'm so thankful that Curtis and I were able to drive down to Mexico for the funeral services. Grandma Kleinman looked after the boys back at home while we were gone which made the fast trip a lot easier.  Another plus, we were able to keep an adult schedule and could totally focus on visiting and reminiscing with all the family.  Being the oldest child in my family granted me the privilege of speaking at the funeral (EEK!).  I was nervous and emotional, but in the end I was grateful for the opportunity it game me to share my thoughts and memories about Grandma.

Happy Birthday Papi!

The boys and I had a lot of fun preparing for Papi's birthday.  Nathan, Bracken and Marco wrapped
ALL the presents while I baked the cake.  To make things a bit more interesting they planned out a birthday scavenger hunt, with little clues leading Papi to each of his gifts.  Curtis is a huge fan of scavenger hunts, he does them all the time for the boys, so making a hunt for Papi was extra special.

Curtis LOVED the scavenger hunt, especially the adorable clues that Nathan and Bracken wrote up to guide him along his way.  We ate a yummy birthday feast with Grandma and Grandpa Kleinman and squeezed in some dessert before Papi had to change into his suit and head over to the church for his evening filled with appointments.
