The Saturday after Nathan's birthday we invited our cousins over to our favorite park for some birthday party fun. Everyone brought some form of "wheels" to zoom around on and they had a blast. We tired to do things that Nathan loves and riding his bike/scooter/ripstik are at the top of his favorites list.
We brought along some pictures of bad guys that Bracken picked out on Google Images and hung them up for a shooting range game. Due to our lovely Prescott Valley wind we found ourselves needing a target stabilizer and Curtis volunteered for that job. The kids hit Curtis more than the bad guys!
The races were by far the most memorable part of the afternoon. We had 3-legged races, sack races and foot races. The cutest part was watching Marco situate himself right in the middle of all the action. He was super excited for the sack race, but realized that he didn't really know what to do. After the race started he just stayed put on the starting line, then he began shouting "Daddy help!" Curtis came to his rescue and manually hopped him all the way to the finish line.
We rounded out our afternoon at the park with some munchies, cookies and presents. Nathan ended the day happy and tuckered out it was a birthday party success!
