T-Ball Time!

The time has come, Nathan is finally in T-Ball and practices have begun!!!!!!

If you ask Nathan he'll tell you he has waited his whole life for this, when in reality he has only waited the last year.  He was old enough to participate last spring, but Curtis and I failed to notice when registration was forcing Nate to wait a whole year longer before his dreams could be realized.   

But regardless of our less than perfect parenting abilities, Nathan survived and he is now on a real t-ball team the Padres!  Add in new cleats and a new glove & ball, and Nathan is sure he has died and gone to Heaven.  In fact he would wear his cleats 24/7 if we let him.  We had to explain to him that cleats were special shoes for baseball that you wear only on grass.  They are not appropriate for school, basketball, bike riding and general use.  As long as it means preserving the life of his cleats he is happy to oblige.

I snapped these pictures at his first practice and it was cute to watch these 5 & 6 year olds practice their t-ball skills.

I'm sure we will have a fun and new experience this spring with our oldest venturing out into the world of sports.  I can hardly wait to see how Curtis behaves at his games!
